Is this for you

Built for people who'll do the work.

Coaching works when you show up and check in. Here's who gets the most out of it.

A good fit if

  • You want to build muscle, lose fat, or both, and you're done guessing.
  • You'll train consistently and check in every week, honestly.
  • You want to understand your plan, not just follow it.
  • You've tried templates or apps and want a plan that adjusts to you.

Not the right fit if

  • You're after a 30-day shred or a quick fix.
  • You want a program but no accountability.
  • You'd rather not share how the week really went.
What you get

Everything in one place, from one coach.

01

Onboarding done properly

Before you get a single workout, I go through your training history, schedule, food, injuries and goals in detail. It takes me hours. It's the part templates skip, and it's why the plan fits.

02

Training built for you

Around your goals, your schedule and the equipment you actually have.

03

Nutrition you'll follow

A meal plan or macro targets, whichever you'll stick to. Real food, adjusted as you go.

04

Supplements, kept simple

What's worth taking for your goals, and what's a waste of money.

05

Weekly check-ins

You send your numbers, photos and how the week went. I go through it and adjust the plan.

06

Direct chat with me

A question about a lift, a meal or a rough week. Replies within 24 hours.

It all runs in one app, Trainerize, so your program, meals, check-ins and chat live in one place on your phone.

How it works

Four steps. The first takes two minutes.

  1. Apply

Tell me where you're at and what you want.

  2. I reply within a day

I read every application myself. If it's a fit, I'll send next steps. If it isn't, I'll say so.

  3. Onboarding

A detailed questionnaire, then I build your training and nutrition from scratch.

  4. Check in weekly

Every week you check in, I review it, and the plan adjusts with you.

How I coach

Basics first. Then a system that's easy to run.

Most people don't need a secret program. They need to lift with good form, progress over time, eat enough protein, sleep, and keep doing it. Almost every result comes from there.

My job is to build those basics into a system that fits your life. The thinking behind it can be complex. Your week shouldn't be. I'll explain why we're doing each thing, so you understand your plan well enough to make good calls on your own.

About

I'm Derek.

I've been lifting for 20 years, more than half my life, and I've competed in 7 NPC bodybuilding shows. Along the way I've tried basically every exercise, diet and supplement there is, so I know what works and what doesn't, and I won't waste your time on the rest.

I'm a working professional too, so I know how to build training around a full-time job and a commute. Your plan has to work on your real week, not an ideal one.

I keep a small roster, one on one, online, so every plan gets my full attention. What I'm best at is explaining: how training, food, recovery and sleep fit together gets complicated fast, and I make it simple enough to actually follow.

Outside the gym I bake, travel, and play more video games than is probably reasonable.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

Do I need a full gym?

No. I build around whatever you have, whether that's a commercial gym, a home setup, or a hotel gym on the road. More equipment just gives us more options.

I'm a beginner. Is this for me?

Yes. Beginners often get the most out of coaching, because the basics done right move fast. I also coach people who've trained for years and stalled.

Meal plan or macros?

Either. Some people do best with a meal plan, some with macro targets. We'll pick the one you'll actually follow, and change it if it isn't working.

How do check-ins work?

Once a week you send your weight, photos and a few answers about how the week went, all in the app. I go through it and adjust your training or nutrition if it needs it.

How fast do you reply?

Within 24 hours, to chat messages and to applications.

Do you coach outside the US?

Yes. It's all online, and I already coach clients in other time zones. Prices are in US dollars.

What does the intro rate mean?

$600 covers your first 3 months, paid up front, which is $150 less than paying monthly. After that it's $250 a month.
